SCRIPT I

Kanji

漢字

For words with meaning

When your word has a direct equivalent in Japanese — strength, peace, love, dragon — we use kanji, the characters that carry both visual power and meaning.

Words with a translatable concept in Japanese.
Mantras and power words.
Names with a known kanji form.

SCRIPT II

Hiragana

ひらがな

hi·ra·ga·na

For European names

When your word is a Western name or has no direct Japanese equivalent, we transcribe its sounds into hiragana to give it a graceful Japanese form.

First names and surnames.
Words without a direct Japanese translation.
Short phrases and personal mantras.
